ReStory Devices and Licenses Guide

ReStory covers a broad set of nostalgic electronics rather than one console line. Licenses expand the hardware your shop can accept, while repeated repairs teach the structure of each device family. This page separates the verified families from named devices that were publicly demonstrated; it is not presented as a complete release roster.

Named devices shown around launch

Pokia phone

The Pokia phone appears as the first simple repair in hands-on preview coverage. It teaches outer-case removal, cleaning, and reassembly in a compact component tree.

Nony handheld

The Nony PMP/PNP line is a legally distinct handheld shown in the demo and official screenshots. It introduces a denser layered assembly than the opening phone.

Eggotchi and Autorola

The developers identified Eggotchi and Autorola among popular playtest gadgets. They represent the virtual-pet and phone-style side of the roster.

Atari 2600/2800 and joystick

Atari devices are officially licensed. A developer teardown described the joystick assembly with four screws, a motherboard, joystick, top and bottom casing, red button, and power cables. The in-game connection between the motherboard and power cable is simplified, so a game guide should not present the model as a real-hardware repair manual.

Atari Lynx and Atari 800

Both were publicly announced during development as additions to the Atari side of the lineup. Their appearance supports the broader console/handheld license track, but public material does not establish one universal unlock day.

Patento BS

The Patento BS was publicly shown in a disassembly demonstration. Treat it as a confirmed shown device, not evidence for the complete device database.

Torch and other small electronics

An early preview included a chunky torch alongside the phone and Atari joystick. It is a useful reminder that some jobs may be cleaning-focused rather than a complex board replacement.

How licenses change the workshop

Licenses authorize additional device families. The achievement path confirms milestones for buying any license, acquiring five licenses, purchasing the most expensive license, and acquiring all licenses.

Before buying the next one, ask:

1. Can the shop cover current bills after the purchase?
2. Do you have storage for donor parts from that family?
3. Is a compatible tool or part supply likely to be the next bottleneck?
4. Are current orders already asking for the new family?

Why there is no full unlock table yet

The public release material confirms the range of devices and the license system, but it does not provide a repeatable complete roster, exact unlock order, or device-by-device repair sequence. Publishing those fields now would turn preview examples into invented full-game facts.

This reference will be ready to expand when every device name, license, unlock condition, part tree, and step capture can be repeated in the released build. Until then, use the Repair Loop for universal bench logic and Achievements for confirmed license milestones.
